At Coca Colas production facility in Mexico the company produces the syrup which is a very important ingredient in the world famous beverage. Large centrifuges are used to produce this syrup.

To maintain a high level of quality and homogeneity, these centrifuges are equipped with Bitlink WebIO components to monitor centrifuge speed and time. All production data from each production run is stored in a Microsoft Excel compatible format, which enables easy examination in case of quality related problems.

Technical description of the installation

The RS485-based WebIO system is controlled by a BIT2000 industrial PC running a Bitlink developed program.

Linked to the industrial PC is BIT2034-A2 PT100 temperature sensor amplifiers and BIT2077 RPM (Revolution Per Minute) monitor components. These enable the industrial PC to continuously register the values of each production run.

A BIT2092 LCD display at each centrifuge makes it possibles to read actual live values of the system. Furthermore, a BIT4096 USB drive bay enables employees to download data from the system with any USB memory stick.
